CEMI'I CAN DELIORMAN
Cemi’i Can Deliorman (*1984) is an acclaimed young conductor from Turkey and is now one of the most sought-after conductors of the younger generation. He currently holds the position of chief- conductor of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO) as the youngest leader in the orchestra’s deep-rooted history. He was appointed at the end of the 2019/2020 season, carrying on a great tradition; the orchestra, which was founded in 1826, claims to be one of the world’s oldest orchestras.
Forthcoming 2022/23 highlights as well as recent 2021/22 appearances include: conducting the Presidential Symphony Orchestra in the Istanbul Music Festival (IKSV) featuring world – famous cellist Gautier Capuçon and Ankara Music Festival featuring renowned violinist Maxim Vengerov, UK debut with the Hezarfen Ensemble in Bristol and guest conductor Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, Orchestra Sinfonica di Grosseto in Italy.
Soloist collaborations of future and past performances include well known musicians such as Angela Gheorghiu, Rolando Villazon, Gautier Capuçon, Maksim Vengerov, Daniel Müller Schott, Fatma Said, Johannes Moser, Michel Camilo, Anneleen Lenaerts, Julian La Ferriere.
Historic opening gala concerts of the new concert hall of the 196- year-old Presidential Symphony Orchestra featuring opera star Angela Gheorghiu broadcasted by the world’s leading classical music channel Mezzo Tv. Further broadcast collaborations continue to increase with Mezzo Tv including Dvorak’s Cello Concerto and many other concerts from the 2022 / 2023 season.
